We’re bringing the vibes to Yoruba Brunch. Come through for mouthwatering food, great company, and a fun way to practice your Yoruba!
We’ve got conversation cards and icebreakers to keep the energy high and the good vibes flowing all day long.
Dress code: All white everything. Show up and show out!

***What are we eating?***
We're partnering with Mariam's Kitchen to serve up some incredible food. Your ticket includes appetizers, a Nigerian brunch main with sides, plus both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you register so we can make sure we have enough food options for you on the menu.
***What are we going to do?***
Hang out and get to practice Yoruba! For the seated brunch, we'll have conversation topics and cards for both beginners and advanced speakers. The cards will also have prompts about general Yoruba culture if you’re not yet conversational in Yoruba.

Yorùbá Game Night DMV
Bring your A-game and your Yoruba pride, it's Game Night like you’ve never seen it! From Ayo to Yoruba Jeopardy and Awujo’s own Yoruba Game Night game, we're bringing the heat with games that’ll test your wit, your reflexes, and your roots.
We’ll start off with our typical language mixer and spend the rest of the time playing large and small group games to work on our Yoruba!
We’re offering a special discount on our Yoruba Game Night set. With this bundle, you’ll get the Yoruba Game Night set with a 25% discount along with your ticket. Your game set will be ready for pickup at the event.
Our activities start right at 7:00PM, so come on time to get the most out of the event. No Naij time please!

Come rep your roots and sing your heart out—Fuji, Afrobeats, old-school classics—if it’s Yoruba and it moves you, it belongs on the mic!

DC came alive with the Yoruba spirit at our recent brunch event launch! Guests mingled over delicious food provided by the Continent DC, and connected over lively Yoruba conversation, fueled by fun icebreakers and conversation cards.
